Man, there are too many video games coming out soon that look promising. I already have Resident Evil: Outbreak and Onimusha Blade Warriors on preorder, and now Seven Samurai 20XX is coming out in March as well. I've still got multiple games I still have to beat as well. Oh well, at least I know those games will keep me happy for a few months at least.

I coulda sworn I had some stuff to say here, things I was planning on discussing and such, but I seem to have forgotten them all right now. Ah well, I guess I will simply blog again once I remember.

Oh, and I can make no promises, but AtomicFreak Radio may make a comeback soon...I'll keep you posted.

Edit: Finally beat Onimusha Warlords. Now to get some of these other games I haven't beaten out of the way before the new ones start coming in...

Edit 2: Beat Fatal Frame 2 as well. I appear to be on a roll...

Do NOT go anywhere in Louisiana by motor vehicle this weekend. Mardi Gras is this coming Tuesday, so this is Mardi Gras weekend, and things are insane. I went to Lafayette (smaller city than New Orleans) for comics and such today, and there is a parade tonight at 6:30 or so, as there is every night from tonight on in all major Louisiana cities. I was there about noon, and they ALREADY had 2 out of 4 lanes of the cities major street (which already has thick traffic back up on a normal day) barricaded off, which I am sure you can imagine backed up traffic EXTREMELY. Several businesses along the road were apparently pissed off as well, as I saw signs on many of their buildings that said "Barricades Hurt Businesses!". Retards run this state, a bunch of fricken retards I tell ya.

Consider yourselves warned. If you wanna hit the Big Easy for Mardi Gras, or anywhere else in the state, check the parade routes first on the net (Nola.com has maps for most of them) and get the cabbie to drop you off somewhere a couple of blocks away from them so you don't get caught in traffic.

The AtomicFreak is back in the fog enshrouded wastes of Louisiana now, from the overgrown graveyards and death highways of the Baltimore area. On the way to the airport to fly out yesterday, M and I found ourselves 3 cars behind the above-linked accident. After being there about 10 minutes or so (and seeing the corpses being dragged from the wreck from pretty close up, which was kinda fitting being that I was in the car with a member of SDO at the time), a trooper came back and told us the road was now closed and we would be there for a couple hours, which was not good since this was at about 3:30 PM and my flight left at 5:30 PM, with a connection in Houston. So I called my travel agent, only to find that there was just one other flight out going in my direction that night, and it was sold out...so unless I wanted to fly standby, which all accounts I have heard agree SUCKS, I should simply hope that the road opens in time for me to get to the plane at 5:30. About 15 minutes later, another trooper starts getting us all to make u-turns and head back to a median, crossing that, and heading back the way we came...AWAY from the airport. So I hop on my cel phone again and call AAA, who gave me awesome directions on an alternate route to the airport, which we made it to with barely enough time to get to my flight, but not any time at all to say any decent goodbyes, so I still feel I left a part of me behind, but I may easily have felt that way anyways no matter how long I may have otherwise had to say farewell. Then there was the huge security lines at the airport, and I slept most of both my flights back. But here I am, thanks to the M-Tron being so fucking awesome getting me there in time, in spite of all that was going on. Seriously, thanks!

I just finished watching Returner, and it was fucking amazing. I highly reccomend it...I will tell you nothing about it other than that it is martial arts sci-fi with great special effects. Anything more may ruin it. Watch the preview, and if that hasnt convinced you, there is no hope for you anyways and you do not deserve to see it. But you should anyways.

Thats all I got right now, I am still a bit drained from the whole trip...I had some stomach problems last week that had not gone away when I went up there, then the above mentioned complications with travel, etc, have me in need of some rest. So go watch Returner, and I'll talk to you later.

LATER -

I would also like to recommend Junk...another great Japanese flick. Yakuza vs. Jewel Theives vs. Army...with zombies after them all. Good stuff. I'm a little ways into Genocyber as well, and so far it is good anime. Been looking for it for several years now...it is pretty old skool as far as anime readily available in the US is concerned, so it is hard to find now, mainly because for a long time it was one of the few anime titles that stores in the US actually had without needing to special order. So now that so much anime has flooded the US market in the last few years, some of the old ones that were available aren't easy to come by anymore until they get rereleased, like Akira and Ninja Scroll have been. But now I have it, and it is good.

Anyways, watch these things I have told you about. I'm off.

Ugh. I had a bit too much to drink the other night. But I suppose thats what happens on a Saturday night in the French Quarter.

So other than recuperating a bit from that still, I'm being a big fucking procrastinator. I leave in 3 days for Baltimore, and I am still needing to pack. I work the next 2 days, but I'm sure I can throw some clothes and such in a suitcase after work, no sweat. What am I doing instead of packing? Reading comics and playing video games. Played some Fatal Frame, some SSX Tricky, and got through the tutorials of Disgaea and was just about to take my promotion exam in the Overlords Castle, when the power went out with a loud pop. So I have to play the fucking tutorials again. Oh well, more practice for me I guess, even tho I get to listen to more demon penguins saying 'Dood!', but I guess that is standard for the game...best get used to it, I suppose. Plus I'm about halfway thru Onimusha Tactics now, a bit more than half actually, so thats cool. Awesome game.

And back to the topic of drinking in New Orleans...this is for all you girls out there. If you want to get up on the balcony and dance and scream and try to get the crowds to throw you some Mardi Gras beads, you better show some tit for it...otherwise, don't be surprised if people are throwing their drinks at you and generally drenching you with syrupy booze drinks and beer. A girl was doing this while we were there, and she seemed irritated that people were throwing their drinks at her. Why were they doing it? Because she kept on demanding beads and not showing anything. Drunken frat boys on Bourbon Street arent cool with that, but they have nothing to yell that could be construed as witty, so you get soaked. Shame too...I doubt the stains will be coming out of that white skirt anytime soon. Oh, and I think her boyfriend is getting a black eye too...he took a lot of beads to the face at high speeds. So even others get hurt. Just do the right thing from now on and either A: don't try to get beads or B: show the goods when you get the beads. It makes for less flying beer.

Thats really all I have at the moment. I'm going back to drinking my Cherry Limeade now.

Been waiting for this one for a LONG time, and now I appear to be on the street team/Zombie Army. Check it out, looks like an awesome flick. Plus I get points if you click the link banner, which I can trade for cool zombie stuff if I get enough. And we all know how much I love zombie stuff.

Plus, I mean hey, it has a LOT of Zombies. And the original was awesome. Can't go wrong with that...check it out!

Ok, a problem is apparently occuring at a screen res of 800x600 with my site, as in the bottom buttons disappearing, plus my blog looks like hell at that screen size. It is made for 1024x768, I honestly do not know why anyone is still running at 800x600, but hey, to each his/her own. If you are having these problems tho, thats why. I'm trying to find a way to fix this, if you know the HTML string for making the page resize a bit better, let me know in my forums under 'Suggestion Box', or email me by using the handy email button to your right - you know, the one you can't see if you are at 800x600 - or just use my email address: thefreak@atomicfreak.batcave.net . Thanks.

Ugh. Barely even up yet and it is already turning into a weird day.

OK, first let me direct you to the new design layout here, by M. Seriously, it rocks. Go have fun in the forums or something people. It needs more posts.

Back to my odd day. Nothing like dreaming that you are being hunted through a building by some weird demon type creature/person, deciding to hunt it back, suddenly realizing little one engine planes are crashing into the building one by one WTC style (the surviving pilots jumped out after they hit, the pop of a body hitting concrete from several stories up was a bit disturbing), when finally you look up at the night sky to see something streaking down towards the horizon, and where they hit...big badaboom, nuclear style. Next thing you know, everyone is freaking out because a large part of the planet has just been nuked, and you suddenly realize the demon thing is still out there, somewhere, after you. Yep, thats what I dreamed last night.

Woke up hoping to find Disgaea and a book on the way, only to find out upon opening my door that the UPS guy had ALREADY BEEN...at like 9:30 in the morning, while he usually brings stuff by in the afternoon. So I get to wait til tomorrow for that now, oh joy. At least the fedex tracking on my other book has it still on it's way for today, so thats cool.

Meanwhile, check out this Onimusha 3 video that Valrik posted over at PorkForums...another fine reason to drool over that game. I finally stopped procrastinating yesterday and beat Primal. That was an awesome game.

That's all I got for today. Sorry if it is a bit disjointed, but jesus people I JUST WOKE UP, and from that weird ass dream too. I'll try to make more sense next time.

New layout, yo, thanks to the Mighty M-Tron! You can even add comments to my blogs now...w00t!

I'm in the middle of redoing the rest of the pages right now, so if you see anything missing or looking messed up for the next few days, thats normal. After that, email me at thefreak@atomicfreak.batcave.net and let me know please. I tend to miss stuff along the way sometimes. Thanks for bearing with me...
